‘Thalapathy 68’ was officially announced on May 21, 2023. Featuring Vijay, the film will be directed by filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. As of today, the director and Vijay are in the US to try and understand a technology used for Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’. Venkat Prabhu shared pictures from the United States on his official Twitter handle. His caption hinted that a new technology would be used in the making of ‘Thalapathy 68’.

For the unversed, Vijay was seen at the Los Angeles airport before he headed to the USC Institute of Creative Technologies. Venkat’s tweet from the US read, “Welcome to the future!!! Thalapathy68 actorvijay archanakalpathi (sic).”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay was last seen in ‘Varisu’, which released in January 2023. The actor is now gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, ‘Leo’. The movie boasts an ensemble star cast that includes Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Mathew Thomas, and more. ‘Leo’ will hit the big screen on October 19, 2023.
